Weekly: Kirmet the Gorf - Marshall Bock

I haven't submitted for a while, so Bob guilted me into posting. Here's what I think a gorf might look like. Not very pretty.

Daily: Yoda - Dave Pryor

I didn't think I could top my Yoda post from last year, so I decided to just try a quick concept of a Dagobah scene where Yoda's pod crash lands on the bog planet. Stuck forever he is.

Daily: Moose - Bob Rissetto

It's a well-known fact that the nose will deflate after decapitation.

Daily: Jack-O-Lantern - Bob Rissetto

Must be pretty important to own 2 briefcases.

Daily: Skyscraper - Ben Nunez

Took this topic opportunity to mess around with the free version of Google SketchUp. It's a pretty fun program.

Daily: Moose - Daisy Church

Just a rough pass with this one- just slapped some colors on to play with it but not sure how I feel about the outcome. But I really like the shape of the antlers!

Daily: Scientist - Daisy Church

For those wondering, the text background is because my sketchbook has some random pages in it from the original book it's made from , and it happens to be a great background for doing color work (it doesn't bleed through) : D  Plus, it kinda looks cool. Ha ha!

Daily: Pyro - Dave Shovlin

I hope I'm not the only one who thinks being able to do this would be awesome.

Daily: Moose - Dave Pryor

Trying to put a little color in this Moose's life.

Daily: Vampire - Daisy Church

Not sure why I gave her a cross and a stake; sort of thought it was neat that she's flaunting the system I guess! Does this mean we're in Halloween mode for daily themes now? (has fingers crossed!)

Daily: Jack-O-Lantern - Daisy Church

Daily: Vampire - Dave Pryor

Someone already took a bite out of this guy's treat.

Daily: Vampire- Seraya Fulton

This is my first post. I did this drawing a while ago, so when I saw the topic this came to mind. I decided to post it and here it is!

Daily: Vampire - Hofer

Couple doodles while waiting for some tech support :) I bet that iDrip has been done before...

Oo, scary!

Daily: Crane - Jeff Williams

Yeah, this one is just a bird...

Monthly: Link Re-Design - Hofer

Late! I never got around to fleshing this idea out but might as well post what I had. I started with that Alchemy program and just kinda "played" till I saw some interesting pose to work with to spark my painting. You can see my little sketch from Alchemy here.

I like the face and stance but the body got a little too thin and disconnected.

Weekly: Kermit The Gorf - Hofer

Had to do it...

Daily: Jack-O-Lantern - Dave Pryor

I've been playing this game called Viva Pinata. In the game, you lure cute little Pinatas into your garden in a variety of ways. One of the species you obtain in the game is a "Sherbat", which is lured by "tinkering" with a pumpkin and transforming it into a Jack-O-Lantern. So, long story short, here's my illustration of two Sherbats happily residing in my garden.

Daily: Jack-O-Lantern - James Mosingo

I love the headless horseman. Hope you guys do to.

Monthly: James Bond Pinup Girl - Alex Quintas

Wish I was able to post for some of these dailies because from what I've seen you kids are coming up with some hella fun stuff.

This is my stab at a pin-up girl built for James. :)

Daily: Crane - Daisy Church

It's a bit rougher and not as finished as I'd like it to be, but I was thinking of this topic when I was doodling at 5am waiting for freelance on my computer to render out.. bleh! (dumb question- can one ever post a secondary take of a TF theme/piece later if one comes back to to a rougher piece and cleans it up? is that allowed?)

Daily: Crane - Ben Nunez

I've often thought they looked like giant birds or dinosaurs, looming over the city.

Daily: Mailbox - Dave Pryor

How can you resist the helpful mailbox? Eagerly eating your letters and crapping them to your destination. Anyway, I had a few ideas for this.

The mailbox family having some quality time at the dining table. Junior just came back early from a lame birthday party for a street lamp.

And here is an early concept I felt was better left as a sketch.

Daily: Computer - Bob Rissetto

I used to play Number Munchers on this guy.

...and here's his equally fun stepbrother.

Monthly: Link Redesign - James Mosingo

So This submission is a wee late. Hope you guys like it!

Daily: Juggler - Bob Rissetto

This was more about process than anything.  I designed a few symmetrical characters and basically drew half of the image with shapes in Flash, while a cloned and flipped version drew the other half.  Basically just setting up a mirror.  This was inspired by how I see a lot of 3D people model half a character while a mirrored half fills in the rest.  Sort of an exercise for the technical side I suppose.

PS - I hate clowns.

Weekly: Russian Gladiator - Bob Rissetto

Mess with him and your head will be added to the pile.

Daily: Highway - Dave Pryor

A little representation of the daily commute. Sometimes the crowding can feel a bit claustrophobic.

Weekly: E.T. vs. Mr. T

First name Mister. Middle Name E. Last name T.
(ok, so it's more ET as Mr. T, but it was worth a shot!)

Daily: Highway - Daisy Church

All the overpasses and highways in LA always reminds me of some sort of oversized dragon entangling itself all over the city.

Daily: Juggler - Dave Pryor

I had no idea for this one until tonight - some kind of Juggling villain. I suppose knives would spring out of his juggling pins. Is there such a character out there? I'm sure there has to be.

Daily: Ladybug- Catherine

Even a ladybug needs help every now and then!

Daily: Ladybug - Ben Nunez

Had a lull at work, did a speedpainting from a photoref using Colors! for the DS. Playback can be found here.

Daily: Ladybug - Sean Skube

There's a wealth of ladybug pictures on the internet. And they all look like this. :)

Daily: Juggler - Daisy Church

A quick daily drawing for my first dive into TF! (waves hello to everybody)

Monthly: Link Redesign - Lauren Monardo

I know this is way late and all, but I just had to post one!
I actually started this early on in August and was never able to finish it til now.
Basically I just made him more battle ready and aggressive. He has a themed armor; complete with knee and elbow pads, a gauntlet, shield, and breast plate (under his tunic). I tried countless variations but kept getting stuck with the Link basics...

Daily: Computer - Dave Pryor

Old Computers is where it's at - but I sure would hate to have to rely on one that's past it's prime.

Monday, September 15, 2008

Daily: Computer - Drew Hill

It's not a real computer unless it takes one of those massive floppy disks with a hole in it.

Daily: Wagon - Dave Pryor

Ready for the races with a pit-stop crew on hand.
