Daily: Toaster - Ian Simmons

I'll see Marshall's pun and raise him some scribbly nonsense!

Daily: Toaster - Marshall Bock

I'll get the ball rolling with this first art post.  Just a quick pun on the topic "Toaster."  Really, puns are all I got.

On a managerial note, see how I titled my post with the naming convention "Timeframe: Topic - My Name."  This might be a good idea to not only indicate which topic you're posting for, but to differentiate your piece from everyone else's.  I'll have to add this suggestion to the Submission Guidelines.

Can't wait to see what you guys come up with!

Welcome!

Thanks for joining us here at Thought Faucet.  For those of you who were around for the Outsider Art Club, consider this the phoenix rising from those ashes.  It's a place for creativity, community, and critique.  To support that notion, we've set up topics that update at different frequencies that you can choose from, depending on which best suits your time constraints.

The Daily Drip is a simple one- or two-word noun that you can quickly doodle in a meeting or on a Post-It.

The Weekly Stream is more scattershot in terms of its themes.  Unusual characters, plays on words, and interesting visuals are the norm here.

The Monthly Plunge is perfect for the contributor with unpredictable free time throughout the month.  Can't guarantee time for the Stream?  This is for you.

Everyone is encouraged to contribute as little or as much as they like; do a Drip here, a Stream there, or do it all!  Regardless, we want this site to be a catalyst for getting your creative juices flowing.  With ComicCon just ending, we knew everyone would be in an artistic mood, so our goal was to get the site launched by the 1st of August.

Fortunately, we made it, but there might still be some hiccups in the system.  If you notice anything buggy, please notify us by emailing thoughtfaucet@gmail.com with the subject "Site Bug." Also, if you know anyone that may be interested in joining TF, have them email that same address.

Thanks again for joining, and we can't wait to see what you do!

Happy arting,

The Management
